The Shreveport Mayor's race is off and running. One of the top candidates, Patrick Williams, says Shreveport is in very bad shape.

Williams is quite critical of current Mayor Cedric Glover, telling KEEL News: "The worst thing you can do is do nothing. Our administration has been doing nothing for the last eight years or so, because of not knowing what to do."

Williams adds: "Shreveport is in trouble. It could be the next Detroit if we don't do something different right now."

The current State Representative says he will surround himself with people who are qualified to do the job, not "his buddies." He says we must "collaborate and listen and act on the issues and that's something that I've already proven that I can do."
