Shreveport mayor Ollie Tyler talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty on the weekend election, in which Shreveporters overwhelmingly voted to renew six property tax millages.

The Mayor tells KEEL listeners that the passing of the six millages "means that we'll continue the services and we're going to actually try to go to the next level. It gives us the resources we need." Tyler adds that Shreveport voters "voiced their opinion "overwhelmingly." Tyler says, "I'm thankful to the people in Shreveport who really supported this effort."

In referring to her upcoming reelection campaign - including the recent candidacy announcements by Lee O. Savage and Adrien Perkins - the Mayor says she is ready to run on her record. "I've had. I'd put my record of achievement out there. I'll talk about what I'm going to do. I'll talk about what I've done."
