Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover hosts a series of public meetings -- beginning tomorrow. He'll kick things off at Winnfield Funeral Home on Hollywood Avenue at 6 tomorrow evening, to present details about his plan to provide speedier relief for the city's crumbling streets and sidewalks. The plea to "Fix Shreveport's Streets Now!" has been gaining traction in recent weeks, but Mayor Glover and the City Council agree that the public should know more about the proposal before it comes up for a vote at the October 25th council meeting. The mayor will also discuss the proposal next Wednesday, October 19th, with Community Advisory Group for the Shreveport-Caddo 2030 Master Plan. Another public meeting is being held October 20th at 5:30 p.m. at Randle T. Moore Community Center on Fairfield Avenue.
