In an interview with NBC News' Kasie Hunt on Thursday (May 29th) , Mary Landrieu discloses she has already decided she will support Harry Reid for Majority Leader.

Well, if he runs, I will,” she told Kasie Hunt of NBC News.

Throughout the segment, Landrieu tried to distance herself from Reid and Senate Democrats while also touting her position as chairwoman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee as a reason she should remain in office.

“Washington has their own gridlock and problem, but even with Republicans, Democrats, Mitch McConnell, Harry Reid, I’m able to move serious pieces of legislation through for our state and region,” she said.

But Landrieu, who has said she supports construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, admitted earlier this week that pushing for its construction and convincing the president is not her role.

“Well, that’s not my job,” she told the Washington Post. “I wish I could. And I’m going to do everything I can to try. But, you know, Mitch McConnell has more power than I do and he hasn’t been able to.”.
