Crawfish Mambo, New Orleans annual crawfish and music festival, crowned a new world's crawfish eating champion on Saturday.

The world championship, held at Crawfish Mambo for the first time, awarded $2,000 to the contestant who could eat the most mudbugs in ten minutes. This year's winner: Russell Callais of Marrero. Callais horked down 2.69 pounds to take the crown. Second spot went to Adrian Morgan of New Orleans, who swallowed 2.44 pounds. In the place position was Corey Fanguy of Gray at 2.26.
