Today's the day! It's the highly-anticipated grand opening of Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City.

There's an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 this morning at the Louisiana Boardwalk South Entrance.

Speakers are Margaritaville Resort Casino Bossier City General Manager and Senior Vice President Barry Regula, Margaritaville Chairman of the Board William E. Trotter, II, Bossier City Mayor Lo Walker, Chief Executive Officer of Margaritaville Holdings John Cohlan, and Margaritaville Chief Executive Officer Paul Alanis.

After the ceremony, Mayor Walker will roll the first pair of dice inside the casino.

The new gambling establishment comes with:

Spacious guest rooms in an 18-story, 395-room tower, with 36 luxurious suites

The lartest casino on the Red River, with over 1,200 slot machines and 54 table games

Trademarked "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere" Bar and four dining venues, including a spectacular 325-seat World Tour Buffet, 450-seat entertainment-filled Margaritaville Restaurant, and Jimmy's Seafood & Steak, a riverfront fine dining restaurant.

Tropical pool deck, spa, jacuzzi, entertainment area and outdoor dining/bar area.

State-of-the-art 850-seat performance hall, complete with a VIP balcony room, where headline entertainment will perform in a unique, intimate setting.
