Mardi Gras Parade Route Changing

For years, the local Mardi Gras parades started downtown and wrapped up in Broadmoor. Well that's changing for one of the Krewes.

The Krewe of Centaur parade route will be reverse.  Instead of starting downtown, it will start at Preston and East Kings.  According to the Krewe, traffic and safety were the biggest concerns leading to the change.  The parade takes place February 11th.   The Krewe of Gemini parade will continue the tradition of starting downtown and ending in the Broadmoor neighborhood.
