The annual March for Meals takes place at noon tomorrow in downtown Shreveport.Led by Grand Marshall Steve Prator on Horseback and Mayor Cedric Glover on foot, a group of elected and appointed public officials and volunteers will walk from the Caddo Parish Courthouse to the Red River District. They're trying to draw attention to the Caddo Council on Aging's Meals on Wheels program and solicit donations to keep the program going. C-C-O-A Director Mary Alice Rountree says donations are especially important this year since the program has had a big portion of its governmental funding cut. If you'd like to participate in the march, and get a little bit of lunch time exercise, you would be more than welcome.
