Two of three people detained this morning in connection with a local murder and arson have now been charged.

Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives booked 28-year-old Amanda B. Williams and 27-year-old Cameron Lewis into the Shreveport City Jail after they were linked to the murder of 55-year-old Bryan Savage. He was found to have suffered from blunt force head trauma and at least one gunshot wound before his Woolworth Road home was set on fire.

The two were detained just before 6:00 this morning after being located inside a hotel in the 5200 block of Monkhouse Drive. Patrolmen working near the hotel spotted a white Chevrolet Avalanche in the parking lot fitting the description of one detectives were looking for in the homicide investigation.

Police had to call in hostage negotiators and the SRT Team to assist with a several-hours-long standoff, which ended peacefully with three people in custody.

Lewis and Williams each face a charge of principal to first degree murder. Williams is also charged with aggravated burglary charge after evidence of her involvement in a burglary at Savage's home earlier this year surfaced. There's no word on whether the third subject will be charged in connection with the murder and arson.

More details will be released as the investigation moves forward.
