Baton Rouge police say a man accused of stealing a truck, kidnapping a woman and hitting nine cars is free on $80,000 bond.

Cpl. Don Coppola told WVLA-TV 20-year-old Zachary Burgess, of Hoover, Ala. was arrested early Saturday morning.

Coppola says a woman was sitting in a truck when Burgess jumped in and hit several cars on his way out of a bar's parking lot. The woman was able to jump from the vehicle.

Authorities say Burgess told police he was seeing what the video game "Grand Theft Auto" was like in real life.

WSFA-TV reports he was charged with vehicle theft, kidnapping and hit and run.

The Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association listed Burgess as a freshman on Auburn University's 2013 team, and it's unclear if he has a lawyer.
