A man accused of shooting a teenager is now in jail. The shooting happened on February 7th in the 5200 block of Kent Street. A 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg there.

Shreveport police received conflicting versions of what happened that night, but detectives were able to develop 23-year-old LaCalvin Williams as the shooter. The U.S. Marshals Task Force located him in Plain Dealing. Williams had been on the run since the 15th, after successfully evading officers who were attempting to arrest him on a warrant for illegal use of a weapon. He's now in the Bossier Maximum Security Facility with bond set at $50,000.
