What would you do if someone took a picture of you nude without your knowledge and then shared it on social media? I don't know about you, but I would be horrified!

Yesterday I got a call from a friend of mine who was deeply distressed. She had run across a picture of a man, whom she recognized from her local gym, nude and in the process of changing clothes, in the  locker room on social media. The picture was clearly taken and posted to SnapChat without the man's knowledge.

While the picture didn't contain a 'full frontal,' the man is clearly undressed and the photo was captioned, 'Some one give this man a towel ASAP PLEASE, sad face emoji, poop emoji, Wakala, Cochino, pig face emoji. We aren't including the entire photo out of respect for the man who's picture was taken.

Here's where things get dicey. My friend, who wishes to remain anonymous, approached the management of the gym with her concerns and was summarily dismissed. She was told that quote, 'people make mistakes' and that the man who was the subject of the picture had 'broken several gym rules recently.'

After being contacted by KEEL News, the patron who took the photo has had his contract at the gym cancelled. We applaud management for not allowing this type of behavior in their establishment. We also contacted Bossier Police to find out if a crime has been committed and the answer is yes. This is video voyeurism. But police would need the victim to come forward to press charges against the photographer.

What if this happened to you? Would you want to know? I'm hoping this man never finds out how cruelly he was treated.

I myself am overweight and I am a member of a gym. Frankly, I don't see myself returning to public workouts any time soon. I'm already body conscious and I think it's not only MEAN but downright WRONG for this individual to have made a joke of someone's quest to improve their health.
