Man Killed in Shreveport Shootout

A shooting in the Sunset Acres neighborhood Thursday night left one person dead.

Officers were called to University Health hospital around 7:00 p.m. after a car reportedly arrived with a gunshot victim.

Police say the victim inside the car was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to the police, a group of people in a car began exchanging fire with another group of people in the 6300 block of west Canal St.

One person died during the exchange and at least 3 homes and 3 vehicles were struck with bullets. No other injuries are being reported at this time.
