Man Jailed for Trejo’s, Taco Bell Break-ins

A Shreveport man is in jail for breaking into two north Shreveport businesses.

Caddo Sheriff's detectives say 24-year-old Joshua Deon Gay is accused of breaking in to Trejo's Mexican Restaurant on North Market and Taco Bell on North Port Boulevard early Monday morning. Deputies say he and another man took cash registers from both businesses and an unknown amount of cash.

The Caddo Sheriff's Office were able to get surveillance video from the two businesses, which showed the men and their vehicle. The video was shared with Shreveport Police, who were investigating similar restaurant burglaries.

Gay was arrested by SPD at a home in Shreveport, then transferred to Caddo Correctional Center, where the Caddo burglary charges were added against him. Detectives say charges are pending against the other suspect.
