A Bossier City man is behind bars after an investigation into an attack on two teenagers led police to him. One of the two teenagers remains in the hospital.

Detectives with the BCPD’s Violent Crimes Unit arrested 23-year-old Andrew Lamar McCall of Bossier City on charges of aggravated second degree battery for beating two teenagers during an incident Sunday night at the North Park Apartments in the 2500 block of Montgomery Lane.

A press release from the Bossier City Police Department decribes the crime:

The victims, an 18-year old male and 16-year old male, tell police they had gone to the apartments to see a friend and were walking through the complex when an unknown male subject got into an altercation with the 18-year old. Shortly after the altercation started, both teens were assaulted by a second male who struck them multiple times with what witnesses described as a large blunt object.

As a result, the 18-year old victim received a serious injury to his hand. He was treated and released from a local hospital. The 16-year old sustained a serious head injury. He remains hospitalized and his family tells police says his condition is improving.

Over the course of their investigation, detectives obtained information that linked McCall as the second subject who beat the victims with the blunt object. McCall was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon at the North Park Apartments where he had been living and was subsequently booked into the Bossier City Jail. McCall was also charged with remaining after being forbidden since he had been previously banned from the property by management.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
