One man is locked up today in connection with the murder of two people in west Shreveport.

Police have arrested the suspect accused of killing two people in Mooretown Saturday night.

25-year-old Arthur Anderson faces two counts of second degree murder.

Anderson is accused of gunning down a man and woman on Crosby Street Saturday night. The victims have been identified as 37-year-old Huey Leonard and 27-year-old Ashley Williams. The two had been shot while they were driving on Crosby. They were apparently forced off the road and the car ran off into a ditch. Anderson allegedly walked up to the car and fired several shots at the victims.

Detectives believe Anderson and Williams had previously been in a relationship.

Anderson's bail as been set at $750,000.
