Man Arrested for Stabbing Death of Shreveport Teen
A Shreveport teenager is dead and the man accused of killing him is behind bars.
Just before 10:30 last night, police were called to a home in the 1700 block of Yale Avenue to a report of a stabbing there. They found 15-year-old Willie Latin, III, had been stabbed at least once in the upper body after an argument with a family member. He was taken to University Health, where he died a short time later.
Preliminary information gathered at the scene suggests 52-year-old Edward Debrow and Latin were arguing inside the home, when Debrow allegedly armed himself with a sharp-edged object and stabbed Latin with it.
Debrow was interviewed by detectives, then charged with one count of second degree murder. He's been booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
