Man Arrested For Firing Shots At Ex-Girlfriend’s New Man In West Shreveport

A man's been arrested for firing shots into the car of his ex-girlfriend's new man.

The woman told Shreveport police she was riding with the new boyfriend and a small child, when her ex -- 23-year-old Oquez Allen -- pulled alongside them near the intersection of Mansfield Road and Murray Street and started yelling.

They all stopped and Allen, armed with a handgun, got out of his car. The woman grabbed a small child from the car she was in and ran off, while Allen fired shots at her boyfriend. He fired back at Allen, but neither of them was hit.

Allen took off in a black Sedan, but he was caught less than an hour later at an apartment complex in the 3500 block of Milam Street. After an investigation, detectives charged Allen with illegal use of a weapon. He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction. No other arrests were made.
