A Shreveport man is behind bars today -- after allegedly burglarizing a neighbor's home in west Shreveport last night. At about 8:30, police were called to a reported burglary at a home in the 3100 block of Lakeshore Drive. When they arrived, the victims told them when they returned home from church, they discovered their residence had been broken into and several items -- including a flat-screen TV -- were missing. Detectives were able to gather information that led them to a home just a few doors down from the victims. They got a search warrant, and found the TV set, as well as other items stolen from the victims' residence. They've arrested 18-year-old Hakeem Sheppard and booked him on one count of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. The stolen property was returned.
