Man Arrested For Burglarizing Church

A Shreveport man was arrested for stealing items from a church under construction in south Caddo Parish, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Christopher Michael Allen, 38, was arrested on Tuesday by Sheriff’s Cpl. Sean McCullough and was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for burglary of a religious building.

The burglary occurred Sunday morning at the Holy Nativity Orthodox Church in the 2100 block of Southern Loop. A security camera at the church captured video of a 2009 red Ford Ranger entering and leaving the property. McCullough traced the vehicle back to Allen and recovered a stolen generator at his house on Stephenson Street in Shreveport.
