Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne Is Interested In Governor’s Office
Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne was in Bossier City to talk about tourism across the state and especially here in Shreveport-Bossier. With the next major election in Louisiana in 2015, we asked the state's second-in-command if he was looking for higher office.
His answer?
"There is a lot of talk about what will happen in 2015," Dardenne told 710 KEEL. "I expect to be on the ballot in 2015. I haven't made a formal announcement yet, but I love the job that I'm doing."
But what position would he want?
"The only other job I'd be interested in is the one without the lieutenant in front of it."
