It's working name is EMB001  and according to Dr. Nicholas Goeders, if  ongoing trials prove successful, this drug could change the way addictions of all kinds are treated.

Dr. Goeders, head of the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Neuroscience at Shreveport's LSU Health Science Center says that in studies, EMB001 has shown to 'block the cravings that are associated with drug addiction'.

Dr. Goeders, a Shreveport native and Jesuit / Loyola High grad, explains it all in this 710 KEEL interview with Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty.
