LSU's 40-24 win over Ole Miss in Oxford has fans optimist about the rest of the season. The Tigers have rolled off three straight SEC wins. Those were big wins over Florida, Auburn and now Ole Miss. The Tigers have a week off before a showdown in Tuscaloosa with Alabama.

Matt Canada's offense was on fire putting up 593 total yards on the Rebels. Derrius Guice rushed for 276 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, becoming the first player in SEC history to have three 250-plus yard rushing games in a career. Darrel Williams became the first LSU player in program history to go for more than 100 yards receiving (105) and 100 yards rushing (103).

The offense was not the only highlight of the game. The defense held Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson of Shreveport to just 10 completions, no touchdowns and three interceptions.
One funny moment during all the pregame hype was the comment made by Coach O about his days as head coach of Ole Miss.

Even some members of the LSU equipment crew stopped by the store to try Phyliss' Chicken on a Stick.
