The LSU Shreveport Animation and Visual Effects program will host two workshops with presenter Al Bohl.

The first workshop, Drawing for Animation: Part 1, is October 22, 2011 from 10 a.m. to noon. This course will introduce the fundamental principles of drawing for animation. Bohl will also discuss what it takes to be an animator.

Drawing for Animation: Part 2 is December 3, 2011 from 10 a.m. to noon. In this follow-up course, Bohl will discuss flipbooks, pixilation and stop motion animation.

Both courses are $12 and will be held on the LSUS campus in the Technology Center room 209. To register, visit the Continuing Education office or website.

Al Bohl is a Bossier City native who has written and illustrated numerous books. His animated TV show “Way Out There!” is being developed by 9 Story Entertainment. He is also about to release a feature-length documentary “Tarzan: Lord of the Louisiana Jungle” and a new version of the original 1918 silent film “Tarzan of the Apes.”
