Luckily, it doesn't count for much, but Louisiana State University is ranked 13th in the Associated Press preseason college football poll. Meanwhile, longtime nemesis Alabama starts off the year at number two.

Jameis Winston and defending national champion Florida State are No. 1, starting the year in the top spot for the sixth time.

The Seminoles received 57 of 60 first-place votes. The Crimson Tide,  No. 3 Oregon and No. 4 Oklahoma each received one first-place vote. Ohio State rounds out the top five.

In the rest of the top 10, Auburn is No. 6, UCLA is at seventh, and Michigan State, South Carolina and Baylor hold down eight, nine and ten.

The Tigers came in at 13th, one spot behind SEC foe Georgia and one ahead of their first opponent of the year, Wisconsin, at 14.
