It's been a tough week for the LSU Football program. First, Bossier City native and former starting quarterback Brandon Harris announced he was transferring, then defensive standout Arden Key announced he was stepping away from football. But it hasn't all been bad.

In fact, the team got some great news on the recruiting front. Two in-state 3-star prospects have committed to Coach Ed Orgeron's squad. Here's the details from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"The LSU football team has received two verbal commitments today. The first came from former Bastrop star Travez Moore, who is currently at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He’s six-foot-six, 250 pounds and is listed by 24-7 sports as the second best weakside defensive end in the country. The other verbal pledge came from Plaquemine defensive tackle Nelson Jenkins. He’s six-foot-four , 280 pounds. Both players are three-star prospects."
