Les Miles announced on Friday that Cam Cameron is now LSU's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Cameron has held head coaching positions at the NFL and collegiate levels and coached some of the NFL's top offensive players including Drew Brees and Philip Rivers. Brees threw for more than 12,000 yards and 79 touchdowns while under Cameron.

He come to baton Rouge after serving as offensive coordinator for the past five years with the Baltimore Ravens.

Miles and Cameron worked together for six years from 1987-1993. Miles was offensive line for the Wolverines and Cameron coached quarterbacks and wide receivers.

Prior to his five years in Baltimore, Cameron served as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins in 2007 going 1-15 in his only season as a NFL head coach.

Cameron said, "I am honored to be a part of LSU football. It's our job to develop a guy to the best of his ability. Focus on being as good as you can be. That's our goal."
