Louisiana Tech Vice President to Retire

After four decades of service to his alma mater, Joe Thomas is retiring as Louisiana Tech University's vice president for finance and administration.  

The 1971 Tech grad has served in several financial positions at the Ruston school since 1973.  He'll vacate his current position this Wednesday but remain at Tech on a part-time basis to help with several ongoing projects.

The University says Thomas's daily duties will be assumed by Lisa Cole, who's been promoted from comptroller to assistant vice president for finance and comptroller, and Sam Wallace, who's been promoted from director of facilities to assistant vice president for administration and facilities.
