The Bossier Civic Center isn't the only place nearby to watch robotics competition.

Seven teams of undergraduate computer science students at Louisiana Tech University will go head-to-head, or robot-to-robot, Wednesday afternoon in Robotics Competition 2013. The 2pm event will be held in the Louisiana Tech Student Center in Ruston and the public is welcome to come and watch.

What's really fun about this competition is that it's autonomous. In other words, the students will have to program their robots and then turn them lose to find their own way through a maze without touching them. The object is for them to get through the maze in the least amount of time.
