Louisiana StartUp Prize Kickoff Party is Happening Tonight

Calling all entrepreneurs and business owners! It's time to make your dreams come true right here in the SBC!

Louisiana StartUp Prize is ready to kick off its second year in Shreveport-Bossier. The mission is to award one lucky entrepreneur or business owner the means to get their project off the ground to the tune of $50,000. Tonight, the fun kicks off at Rhino Coffee at 6 p.m.

The goal of Louisiana StartUp Prize is to show this country that the SBC is a place where local, regional and national businesses can thrive. The Prize educates entrepreneurs and gives them the tools necessary to grow. In the end, the top five businesses will be selected to present their ideas to potential investors. The top business will receive the $50,000 prize. However, the benefits are there, regardless if you win or not. The lessons and exposure you receive throughout the process are invaluable.

Louisiana StartUp Prize had its inaugural year in 2014. Gregory Kallenberg and his team expected 30-35 entries. Instead, they received 91. This year is expected to be bigger and better.
