After much debate and concern, Louisiana lawmakers have made a decision on whether or not the state will comply the Federal Real ID security law. The Senate passed final legislation that would allow the driver to choose between a license that meets Federal requirements or one that doesn't.

Governor John Bel Edwards intends to sign the bill into law. If you choose to not get the Real ID, you may be required to have a passport to board domestic flights in the near future.
