Louisiana Roads Worst In The Nation

Our state is at the bottom of another list.

Mainstreet.com has a list of the worst road conditions in the country and Louisiana is listed as having the worst in the United States.  How do our bridges rank?  12th out of the 50 states.  The fatality rate in Louisiana is number 2 out of 50 and our traffic congestion ranking is 23 out of 50. The report says it has been a tough decade in Louisiana with hurricanes as part of the problem with damage to the roads from storms and the high traffic on the roads from evacuations. There was a bright spot in the survey.  The feds have sent extra money to our state.  We rank 8th out of 50 states for money allocated to it by the Federal Highway Fund ($54.31 per capita)....so our state does have the money to make improvements.
