Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal is in the running for President of the United States.

Jindal sent out this email shortly after his announcement:

Friend,

I just got off the stage from my big announcement, and now we're heading to the airport. I've only got a few moments to myself, but I wanted to send you a quick note while I had the chance.

I'm running for President of the greatest country in the world - the United States of America. But I'm not running for President to be somebody. I'm running for President to do something.

Are you with me?

I will do the things that you cannot do in Washington. I will say the things you cannot say.

They say you can't actually secure our borders. But we can, and we will.

They say you can't actually repeal and replace Obamacare. But we can, and we will.

They say you can't reduce the size of government. But we can, and we will.

They say you can't restore America's credibility in the world. But we can, and we will.

Jindal will face a crowded field in his attempt to land the Republican nomination. The Louisiana governor will likely fight for space on the right of the so-far 13 person GOP field, alongside Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabeeneurosurgeon Ben Carsonand former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.
