Caddo Republican Party Chairman Louis R. Avallone talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL Robert J Wright about the sudden rise to political prominence of Shreveport mayoral front-runner, Adrian Perkins.

Avallone addresses recent social media attacks on Perkins, one specifically aimed at local Democrats saying that since some Trump supporters are throwing their support to the political newcomer, he's a bad choice for Shreveport Dems.

In Shreveport's recent mayoral general election, Perkins led the way with 29%. Incumbent Ollie Tyler polled 24% and Republicans Jim Taliaferro and Lee O. Savage finished third and fourth with 21% and 14%, respectively.

Avallone, who hosts American Ground Radio, heard weeknights from 6 til 7 on 101.7 / 710 KEEL, then talks about rumors that Perkins was "selected" by a combination of influential Republicans and old school Democrats.
