Lots Going on at Bossier Schools This Weekend

This afternoon just after two, the Cyber Innovation Center is giving Elm Grove Middle School a Junior Cyber Discovery Technology package, so it can advance its STEM initiatives and Robotics program. the package comes with Boe-Bot kits, complete with hardware, components and sensors.

Tonight, it's the 2012 Bossier City Lions Club Football Jamboree, being held at Airline High School. Gates open at five, and homecoming queens will be presented before each game. LA New Tech at Plain Dealing takes on Bossier at 6. At 7:25, it's Airline vs. Haughton, and at 8:30, there's a mass band patriotic salute. Then Benton faces off against Parkway at 9.

Tomorrow morning, it's the Airline Vikings' Back to School 5-K Run and Health Walk. A 1-K Fun Run starts at 7:30, then the 5-K at 8. That kicks off in the Airline parking lot and winds through campus and the Greenacres neighborhood, and ends on the Airline track. Proceeds benefit the AHS Cross Country Team.
