Three volunteers from the Northwest Louisiana chapter of the American Red Cross left this morning, headed for Rayne, Louisiana. They'll be staging from there into areas that were destroyed or affected by this weekend's tornado. Don Stamper of Shreveport and Jean Lanier of Bossier City will be handling direct one-on-one casework with the clients. Doug MacDonald of Benton will be working as the Warehouse Supervisor for this job. MacDonald has extensive experience with warehouse distribution and management. This is Stamper's and Lanier's first time to go out to respond to a disaster.
