Loyola College Prep senior Ben Maxey has joined the 'rare air' of high school students to earn a perfect ACT score of 36. The ACT is a national college admissions exam testing English, Math, Reading and Science. Every scholastic year close to 2 million U.S. students who take the test, and of those, fewer than one-tenth of one percent get the perfect score.

This was the fourth time Maxey had taken the test, previously scoring 33, 34 and 35.

In addition to being a National Merit Scholar, Maxey is involved in local theater, most recently appearing in a local production of 'The Diary of Anne Frank'.
