Local GOP Plans ‘Get Out the Vote’ Rally

The Caddo Parish Republican Party will be hosting the “Get Out The Vote for a Better Shreveport” event Saturday morning (October 26) at 9:30 at Rhino Coffee on Texas Street in downtown Shreveport.

According to local GOP leaders, "There will be a full slate of candidates on hand, plenty of voter guides to share, and after getting a chance to hear from some candidates, over coffee, candidates and voters will head over to the Caddo Registrar's office at 525 Marshall Street (across from the Caddo Parish Courthouse) for anyone wishing to early vote.

Commenting on the event and its importance, Caddo Parish Republican Party Chairman Louis R. Avallone says:

"We hope you can join us, come meet some candidates, and participate in electing some really neat folks to lead our city for the next four years.

As you know, because we have a “government by the majority who participate,” as Thomas Jefferson so famously said, we have a duty to do just that – participate – especially if it may be your first time."
