The Louisiana Municipal Association has presented its most prestigious award to the City of Bossier City for its outstanding work in developing and contructing the city's two alternative fueling stations. Mayor Lorenz Walker was presented with the LMA's Community Achievement Award at the association's annual convention banquet this past weekend at the Shreveport Convention Center. Bossier City took home the top prize in the Community Development category for municipalities with population of 25,001 and over. The city's first alternative fueling station opened on East Texas Street last fall. Work on the second station on Barksdale Boulevard is nearly complete and is scheduled to open later this month.
