Life And Death Decisions Being Made In Caddo District Court

Sentences handed down Wednesday in two high-profile cases in Caddo District Court:

Lamondre Markes Tucker sentenced to death by Judge Ramona Emanuel.  

Caddo Parish jury had recommended the death penalty following penalty phase of first degree murder trial in March.

Okyeame Woodard sentenced by Judge Mike Pitman to life in prison at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. Woodard found guilty of second degree murder by jury June 23.

A case of interest in district court today, Thursday, June 30, 2011

19-year-old Cordaro Rayshun Morris is scheduled for arguments and hearings on a second degree murder charge before Judge John Mosley.

Morris is accused in the May, 2010 shooting death of Frederick Madden in the 5400 block of Virginia Ave.

Investigators believe Madden was shot and killed following a robbery.
