Shreve Memorial Library and the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana are expanding their after school feeding and enrichment program to more branches. Starting on October 1st, library branches in Greenwood and Mooringsport will begin offering the service.

The program provides healthy after school meals to kids up to 18 years old and reading, life skills and STEM education courses.Students will have an opportunity to learn about a wide and diverse group of topics. Some of the items mentioned on the Shreve Memorial website include life after high school, nutrition, healthy eating, animals, science and technology, current events and holidays and library resources.

Students can participate in the program at the following locations:

·         Higginbotham-Bryson Branch, 9359 Greenwood Road in Greenwood
Tuesday through Thursday 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

·         Mooringsport Branch, 603 Latimer Street in Mooringsport
Monday through Friday 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

·        North Caddo  615 North Pine Street in Vivian
Tuesday through Thursday 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

·        Wallette Branch, 363 Hearne Avenue in Shreveport
Monday through Friday 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
