Governor John Bel Edwards and and his administration will make an offer to the Biomedical Research Foundation to continue to be the operator of the safety net hospitals in Shreveport and Monroe. Administration Commissioner Jay Dardenne says Biomed will have to accept or reject the offer.

State Representative Cedric Glover was one of several North Louisiana lawmakers to meet with the Governor to address this critical issue. He talked with KEEL News about the meeting.

State Senator Greg Tarver also attended the meeting with the Governor and he was quite critical of Glover and other lawmakers who he says "don't really know what they are talking about".

Senator Tarver tells KEEL News "the Medical School in Shreveport is not in jeopardy of closing."
