As the holidays approach, you'll be hearing more about law enforcement efforts to keep the public safe -- by keeping drunk drivers off the road. This week, the Caddo Sheriff's Office is conducting training for deputies and officers in administering standard field sobriety tests. As part of the training, volunteers will participate in the supervised drinking of alcoholic beverages at the Sheriff's Regional Training Academy beginning at 8 tomorrow morning. Every hour, they'll be tested by the deputies and officers attending the class so they can gain practical experience with people under the influence of alcohol. The "drinking-testing" rotation will continue until about noon.
