Large Shreveport House Fire Leaves One Dead

An early Monday morning fire has claimed one life in Shreveport.

Shreveport Fire Department crews arrived at the fire in the 1400-block of Kenneth Avenue to find a home fully engulfed in flames at around 4 a.m.

Shreveport fire officials say crews got that fire and two exposure fires put out by 4:50 a.m.

Shortly after, fire crews found charred remains in the house's kitchen.

Police and fire crews continue to investigate.
