Krewe Of Centaur Mardi Gras Coronation Party Set

The Krewe of Centaur will present its XXII royal court at this year’s Midway to Mardi Gras Coronation Party on August 11, 2012, at Shreveport’s Riverview Hall on Clyde Fant Parkway.  The event is from 6:30pm to midnight.  Doors open at 6pm.  The coronation is 8-9pm.  

Live entertainment will be provided by The KLOCKS, a “four-piece Top 40 Dance Rock-n-Roll” band from San Antonio, Texas.  The KLOCKS perform regularly at area casinos and have become popular in the Shreveport-Bossier area over the past year.  Themed "Louisiana's Olympic Festival," this year’s coronation will spotlight Louisiana Olympians with some Olympic game activities hosted by several surprise television personalities.  There will also be a Fascinator hat contest in honor of this year’s Olympic host country, the United Kingdom.  

The Krewe of Centaur Midway to Mardi Gras Coronation Party is open to the public; admission includes an open bar and heavy hors d’ourves.  Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased online at www.kreweofcentaur.org or in person at King's Hardware (4834 Line Avenue in Shreveport) and Plato's Closet (2900 East Texas Street in Bossier City).
