Krewe of Akewa Grand Bal XI [PICS]

This past Friday night, I was honored to be a part of the Krewe of Akewa's eleventh grand bal at the Knights of Columbus in Bossier City! Because I was behind the mic, I had to steal some pictures from the ladies Facebook pages, but I know you'll enjoy!

Captain Lenny Sullivan and the ladies of her court were absolutely gorgeous and one of the most memorable moments of the evening was when Queen Covana Simon's boyfriend proposed! (She said YES!)

The Krewe of Akewa is traditionally an all female krewe which got it's start in Minden, LA. Men are now able to join as associate members. After all, someone has to work on the float!
