Krewe of Aesclepius Children’s Parade, Route and Times Fat Tuesday
Mardi Gras is sadly coming to a close in the Ark-La-Tex tomorrow with the arrival of Fat Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean the fun has come to an end! The Krewe of Aesclepius is hosting their annual children’s parade at 7pm at Pierre Bossier Mall. The krewe urges attendees to get there early to get a good spot to view the parade and catch the most beads! They promise children of all ages will have a great time! Ed Walsh and Chrissi Coile will be the Grand Marshalls and the Barksdale Air Force Base Honor Guard, CheroKee-ettes, Sun City Gold Stars, Bellaire Babes are just some of the marching groups you’ll see. The parade will also feature the Holiday Lanes’ Mister and Miss Beauxling along with the walking Bowling Pin. Other krewes in attendance will be Les Femme Mystique, Justinian, Artemis, des Ambassadeurs and Atlas. Four Winds Faire will have their horses there too! Join K945 and the Krewe of Aesclepius for a fun Fat Tuesday aimed at entertaining the kiddos! After the parade, follow the floats to the big kids party at the Krewe of Aesclepius Den on Grimmett Drive for food, fun, drinks and music hosted by yours truly for the Upstate Party! After the party, attendees will ride to the top of the Texas St Bridge for closing ceremonies! Join us at the middle of the Texas Street Bridge at 12 Midnight, Dress is Casual or Mardi Gras attire (2nd line jackets). The Upstate Party ends with the journey to the Bridge Closing Ceremony. Come for the annual toasts to the end of Mardi Gras and distribution of Lenten ashes.
