Kids Left in Hot Car While Grandmother Shopped
This is something you hope to never witness...but it happens far too often.
A Texarkana, Texas, woman is in jail -- for leaving children in the car while she shopped. Police got a call of children left unattended in a vehicle at a store in the 4000 block of New Boston Road. That's where officers found the kids, ages 10, 2 and 1-month, with the windows rolled half-way down. The temperature was 100 degrees at the time.
The oldest child gave officers the grandmother's name, and they called her. She came out to the vehicle...after she finished her shopping, almost 20 minutes later. Police arrested 41-year-old Dunashautta Moore for child endangerment/abandonment. The kids were checked out, found to be O.K., then turned over to their aunt.
