A Shreveport federal jury has found two local men guilty in a string of area armed robberies.

Jurors deliberated for three-and-a-half hours before finding 20-year-old Myles Robinson and 22-year-old Halston Smith guilty of a number of robberies in Louisiana and Texas. Robinson was found guilty of all 27 counts against him while Smith was found guilty of 13 (correction from earlier figure of 25.) However, he was found not guilty of interference with commerce by robbery or use of a firearm during a crime of violence.

Robinson and Smith were accused of robbing 15 businesses in Shreveport, Bossier City, Stonewall, Oil City, and Atlanta, Texas, back in 2012. Two other defendants in the case have already pled guilty and are scheduled to be sentenced next month. Robinson and Smith are to be sentenced in June.
