After deliberating for 15 hours, jurors have reached a verdict in the murder trial of Jodi Arias. On Wednesday (May 8), the jury convicted the 32-year-old Arias of first-degree murder in the 2008 death of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander of Phoenix, Arizona.

In the beginning of the investigation, Arias denied any involvement in Alexander's death, claiming that masked intruders murdered Alexander. Two years after her arrest, she admitted killing Alexander, but claimed it was in self-defense.

Police believed she planned the crime because Alexander pursued other women while rejecting her.
